Nuits des Cimes

Description

An immersive week under the starry skies of Valloire, combining contemplation, nature, astronomy and nocturnal creations. Each evening, a unique theme to discover the mysteries and beauty of the Alpine night.

Day 1 - Monday 7: Starlit launch
- 5:30 p.m.: Intro to AEP Documentary Cinema. Lighting up the stars, followed by Stéphane's talk.
- 6:30 p.m.: Official opening with mulled wine and local beverages and a word from Monsieur le Maire at Place Emile Grange.
10:00 pm: Astronomy night walk Chapelle St Pierre. Registration required

Day 2 - Tuesday 8: Night and Nature
- 10:30 a.m.: Film on the unloved for 3-5 year-olds, followed by a creative workshop until noon. Charge.
- 6:00 pm: Conference on nocturnal birds by the LPO + exhibition on the bearded vulture and nocturnal animals.
- Open-air cinema stand-by

Day 3 - Wednesday 9: Dreaming at night
- 5:30pm: Children's workshop: Make your own star lantern
- 9pm: Night-time hike to discover nocturnal animals. Charges apply.

Day 4 - Thursday 10 :
- 2pm - 5pm : Folie - la nuit dans l'art + artistic workshop on Van Gogh's starry night.
- No Lighting up - village + possibly hamlets depending on Eric Giraud's return.
- Restaurateurs: candlelit meals? Blind tasting?
- Storytelling evening
