Nuits des Cimes

Description

An immersive week under the starry skies of Valloire, combining contemplation, nature, astronomy and nocturnal creations. Each evening, a unique theme to discover the mysteries and beauty of the Alpine night.

Day 1 - Monday, July 7
- 5:30 pm: Introduction to AEP Cinema with documentary (52min) "Tant qu'il y aura des étoiles" ("As long as there are stars").
- 6:30pm: Public lighting: understanding its role and operation. Talk by Stéphane GARCONNET, Director of Technical Services, Valloire Town Hall.
- 7:00 pm: Official launch of Nuits des Cimes, in the presence of the Mayor, Place Emile Grange.
- 8:30pm: Storytelling evening. Set off with Zian des Alpes to the chapelle St-Pierre by torchlight. Walking shoes and warm clothing recommended. Registration €5 at the Tourist Office. Ages 6 and up. Meet at the Centre Culturel

Day 2 - Tuesday, July 8
- 10:30 am: Film on "Les Mal Aimés" for 3-5 year-olds, followed by a creative workshop until noon. Price €4. At the Centre Culturel
- 5:30pm: Creative workshop, create your own constellation, Centre Culturel.

Day 3 - Wednesday, July 9
- 5:30pm: Children's workshop: "Make your own star lantern" From age 7. Price: €5 - Centre Culturel
- From 6:30pm: nocturnal animal discovery hike. Price: 12€ Limited to 15 people. Registration at the Centre Culturel. Meet at the Centre Culturel.
- From 8:30pm, Astronomy Astro Pass - Observation of the sky with a connected telescope, fun discussions about the sky and its secrets. Bring your headlamps. Ages 8 and up. Places limited. Meeting point Pré du Praz.
- 10pm: 3-2-1 Let the light shine! Lights out on countdown to Pré du Praz (postponed to July 11 in case of bad weather).

Day 4 - Thursday, July 10
- 2pm - 5pm: Folie - la nuit dans l'art + artistic workshop on Van Gogh's starry night. At the Centre Culturel
