Description

This is a great hike to do on snowshoes. It offers magnificent views of the surrounding mountains, especially the Aiguille Noire.

The downhill start is between the gondola and the Alp de Zélie restaurant. Further on, the trail climbs. After a short climb to warm up, this trail takes you off the beaten track to discover the Crey du Quart massif.
You'll then enjoy a long descent, alternating between forest passages and a balcony trail offering a breathtaking view over the valley.

This route on the north side of the slope is for experienced climbers only, as although it is downhill, it is not without its difficulties due to icy passages in the forest. Access via the Sétaz gondola, then downhill on a marked trail.
