Le concours international de Sculpture sur Paille et Foin à Valloire

12th International Straw and Hay Sculpture Contest : from 25th 30 of June 2024 !

Valloire organises a unique artistic event in France, which is both fun and linked to the mountains. Come and discover works of art made by sculptors from all over the world ! You can admire those sculptures all summer long in Les Verneys, Valloire.

Entrants have a free choice of theme, but they must create a sculpture, which is a construction filled and covered with straw and hay.

12 giant sculptures will be built by teams of 2 sculptors on the Les Verneys plateau, in Valloire. They will be on display throughout the summer.

Contest begins: Tuesday 25th June at 9:00am
Contest ends: Sunday 30 July at noon

Thursday, june 25th: sculptures and music. From 9:00 p.m. concert on the site of the sculptures.

Sunday, July 2th:

Thursday June 27 at 9 p.m.: Concert on the sculpture site. A concert will be given. Refreshment bar offered by the 902 association.
Sunday June 30: For security reasons, the site is closed to the public until 1 p.m. (end of competition 12 p.m.)
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Vote for the public prize and the youth prize at the Tourist Office or on the sculpture site
At 5:30 p.m.: competition prize ceremony on the competition website.
