Description
Celtic-inspired classical music
an hour of sweetness in a world of noise:
This eclectic duo from across the Channel has lived in France since 1993. Since their arrival, they have achieved many great successes.
The ARRIN duo, Richard and Andréa Heaney, will offer you an hour-long concert of softness in a world of noise.
Andréa, transverse flute and voice (alto), can be accompanied by Richard on guitar, but also percutrum baritar (yes, he'll play the guitar with his feet!), an instrument of his own composition: the guitarist creates bass lines that give the impression of an orchestra. The principle: a guitar that he plays with the thumb of his right foot: totally unprecedented: two musical heels!
and harp stool (musical seat), a second instrument invented by Richard: the world's first!
Their two voices (alto and baritone), often a cappella, offer a highly eclectic program that should appeal to everyone.
But it's Richard's most original compositions that really get the audience going. Richard draws on a wide range of influences - Spanish, folk, old-time, jazz - to create melodies whose liveliness or emotion Andréa conveys with the fluid sound of her flute or her singing.
The songs are bouncy, and don't forget Richard's humorous leaps between songs!
