Description
This walk links Valloire to Les Verneys via the Vita-Vittel trail along the river. It can be enjoyed all year round, and is equally popular with families and sports enthusiasts. In summer, admire the straw and hay sculptures on display at Les Verneys.
This wooded course features several exercise stations, a warm-up area, two flexibility and strength areas, a coordination and balance area, and a balance and relaxation area.

When hiking, there are a few things you can do to make your experience safer and more enjoyable. Walking poles (even on roads) improve balance in icy conditions, crampons provide grip, and regular hydration is essential.
Carry a water bottle and snacks to keep your energy up. Protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen and sunglasses. Don't forget binoculars to add a touch of observation to your adventure.
Finally, check weather conditions and avalanche risks before you set off. Inform someone of your itinerary, as communication may be limited. These small adjustments will help you make the most of your getaway.
Departure point: From the tourist office, head up Rue des Grandes Alpes towards the hamlet of Les Verneys.
1/ Once you've crossed the bridge, walk along the parking lot to take the footbridge on the left of the main road to follow the "Vita Vittel" fitness trail.
2/ After 2 km, you'll reach the Préj Val riding center.
3/ Follow the path along the river. You'll wind your way through the forest and gain height until you reach the Verneys chairlift.
4/ Turn around and walk back along the same route, or take the shuttle bus that runs in both summer and winter seasons.
