Ice Sculpture

The international Ice sculpture competition celebrates its 33st anniversary !

It starts on thuesday 7th of january and ends on friday 10th of january. 

Like every years, it takes place in the hamlet “the Verneys”, 3 km from Valloire. Free shuttles will make rotations between Valloire and Les Verneys.

The contest starts on Tuesday 10th and it finishes on Friday 12th, 2024, at 12 pm.

2025 Ice Sculpture Competition Program

TUESDAY JANUARY 7:
At 9 a.m.: Start of the Ice Sculpture competition.
 
FROM TUESDAY 07 TO THURSDAY 09 JANUARY,
Come see and encourage the sculptors day and night! Depending on the weather, the sculptures can be protected and therefore difficult to see during the day.
Introduction to ice sculpture from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
 
FRIDAY JANUARY 10:
Introduction to ice sculpture from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
12 p.m.: end of the competition
3 p.m.: passage of the jury
11 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Public and young public vote, on the site of the sculptures at Verneys
18: Prize giving followed by a show and fireworks.
On this occasion, additional free shuttles will rotate between Valloire and Les Verneys, at the usual stops, between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. After the show, the sculptures will remain lit on Friday and Saturday nights (depending on weather conditions).
